The traditional “Castanyada”

The Castanyada is a celebration rooted in Catalan tradition, where families and friends gather to enjoy chestnuts, sweet potatoes and panellets (or All Saints' Day sweets, marzipan-like buns that were placed in the tombs so that the deceased would be nourished in the afterlife). Although it is celebrated between October 31 and November 1, during practically the whole month of October, we can appreciate the celebration of this festivity in the streets.

Halloween, the scariest night of the year

Halloween has gained popularity in Sitges, and no wonder. On the night of October 31, the streets are filled with costumes, laughter and exciting activities. From the famous “trick or treat” for the little ones to themed parties and horror marathons for adults, there are several options to enjoy an unforgettable night.

One of the most eagerly awaited events in Sitges this Halloween 2024 is the 14th edition of the Sitges Zombie Walk, starting on October 5 at 8pm from the MEETING (Avinguda Balmins, 21 - Ermita de San Sebastián). This route, full of surprises, will take participants through the city's most emblematic spots, including Avinguda Balmins and Passeig Marítim, ending at Xiringuito La Iguana - Platja de la Fragata. Get ready for a terrifying and fun experience!
